Home Elevator Design FAQs

What door styles are available for an Elevator Boutique home elevator?

Elevator Boutique supplies swing and sliding landing doors. Swing doors come in solid aluminum, framed aluminum with clear glass, or framed with premium glass, and Elevator Boutique can supply a primed steel or aluminum door for your builder to finish to match your home. Sliding doors open within the shaft in pre-painted steel, polished or brushed stainless steel, framed glass or frameless glass. Swing door elevators in the City of LA require a bus door.

Can I choose my own cabin finishes?

Yes. Every Elevator Boutique elevator is custom built, so cabin walls, ceilings, lighting, mirrors, control panels, handrails and flooring are specified per project. Clients can supply their own flooring so the cabin floor matches the landing floor.

How much does a luxury home elevator cost in California?

Every Elevator Boutique elevator is custom built, so the price depends on the model, number of floors, door style, cabin size and finishes. Elevator Boutique provides a same-day custom quote with no hidden extras, and custom scaffolding and a 3-year parts warranty are included.

Can a home elevator be made to match my existing interior?

Yes. The most effective approach is to match the cabin floor to the landing floor and select a door finish that reads as millwork rather than as an elevator. Mirror or glass rear walls make smaller cabins feel larger.

How many levels can an Elevator Boutique home elevator serve?

Elevator Boutique home elevators serve 2 to 6 levels. The A Series carries 5 to 6 persons and the E Series carries 6 to 7 persons. Cabin and shaft sizes are tailored to your home.

Can I see a finished elevator before I buy?

Yes. The Elevator Boutique Los Angeles showroom in Fountain Valley has three working home elevators on display. You can ride the elevators, compare swing and sliding doors and handle the actual finishes. Visits are by appointment only.

Do you have case studies near me?

The California case studies on this page cover Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Malibu, Los Angeles, Newport Beach, Corona Del Mar and Laguna Beach.

What is new for 2026?

Brushed Bronze and Titanium Grey Italian cabin finishes are now available, and you can see the samples at the Los Angeles showroom.

What should I bring to a showroom visit?

Bring any architectural plans or drawings of your home so an Elevator Consultant can assist with fit and geometry. Photographs of the proposed elevator location, the dimensions of your available space and your preferred door style also help.
